Tooth Fairy Pillow

K. lost her third tooth the other day and since we lost the first tooth pillow I decided to make her one. I just used some felt that I got from the craft store and some embroidery floss (DMC #3755, which has now GOT to be my favorite color to work with, it’s so pretty).

And to show the cutest picture ever.

I think that kids with missing front teeth are SO cute. I have not a clue why though, I think it’s because of that song “All I want for Christmas are my 2 front teeth”. Who knows!? P.S. The tooth fairy paid a visit and left K. Junie B. Jones Toothless Wonder.

Crafting for my girls.

I have been on this sewing rampage lately for some reason. I LOVE the simplicity of the projects I can make for my girls. It’s funny too, we have this system worked out that when I sew they ALWAYS want to paint, color, or sit there and play with my fabric scraps. Well, it pays off because 9 times out of 10 I always end up making something for them. A few of my latest projects have involved flowers, purple, and pants.

This bag here was made for K. because she LOVES to take her Junie B. Jones Books with her. It is just big enough to carry 3 of her favorite Junie B.’s in.

And because I made a drawstring bag for K., my little me too (L.) wanted one too. So I whipped up one for her.
And then I FINALLY got around to making the Wee Bunnies via Wee Wonderfuls. They were really super easy to make and the only part that was a little bit difficult was the bottom.
This pink one is for K.
and this blue one is for L.
(so on my computer the blue bunny looks weird, it’s just the pattern of the fabric. Strange!)

I am a BAD BAD BLOGGER

Well, I have a good excuse though. It’s summertime which mean that the girls and I have been outside playing and having a good time. As promised before, when I did my private swap with tinyneedles and I am just now getting around to posting about the things I made/sent her. I forgot, however, to take pictures of everything before I sent it out to her so you can view the photos of the things I made via her Flickr account.

I made her an apron for when she makes her pizzas. It’s a reversible one and here is Side A and here is Side B. Then I also sent her some other goodies such as yarn, DPN holder (that I found the tutorial for via KathrynIvy.com), and stitch markers.

Then to post (brag) about what she sent me, a VERY awesome purse, some fabric (that I’ve already used up) awesome vintage inspired needle case, a beautiful crocheted jute basket, pincushion, and very cute little barettes for my girls.

Drawstring bag for K.

I made this drawstring bag for K. using this tutorial by happythings. It was SUPER easy and only took me about an hour (maybe more I had a 2 year old as my assistant). Now I’m going to make another one for L.

~Fabric~Given to me by tinyneedles in a swap we had
~Ribbon~ Also given to me by tinyneedles. She used it to tie up one of my packages and I’m the type that I keep (almost) everything because I know I can use it again later.
