Tooth Fairy Pillow
K. lost her third tooth the other day and since we lost the first tooth pillow I decided to make her one. I just used some felt that I got from the craft store and some embroidery floss (DMC #3755, which has now GOT to be my favorite color to work with, it’s so pretty).
And to show the cutest picture ever.
I think that kids with missing front teeth are SO cute. I have not a clue why though, I think it’s because of that song “All I want for Christmas are my 2 front teeth”. Who knows!? P.S. The tooth fairy paid a visit and left K. Junie B. Jones Toothless Wonder.
DESTASHING!!!!!
If anyone is interested, I have this toddler pattern that I would love to trade for either fabric or another pattern.
Crafting for my girls.
I have been on this sewing rampage lately for some reason. I LOVE the simplicity of the projects I can make for my girls. It’s funny too, we have this system worked out that when I sew they ALWAYS want to paint, color, or sit there and play with my fabric scraps. Well, it pays off because 9 times out of 10 I always end up making something for them. A few of my latest projects have involved flowers, purple, and pants.
I am a BAD BAD BLOGGER
Well, I have a good excuse though. It’s summertime which mean that the girls and I have been outside playing and having a good time. As promised before, when I did my private swap with tinyneedles and I am just now getting around to posting about the things I made/sent her. I forgot, however, to take pictures of everything before I sent it out to her so you can view the photos of the things I made via her Flickr account.
I made her an apron for when she makes her pizzas. It’s a reversible one and here is Side A and here is Side B. Then I also sent her some other goodies such as yarn, DPN holder (that I found the tutorial for via KathrynIvy.com), and stitch markers.
crochet stitch holders
Crochet or knit stitch holders/markers I made over the weekend. They fit up to a size 4 knitting needle.
Drawstring bag for K.
I made this drawstring bag for K. using this tutorial by happythings. It was SUPER easy and only took me about an hour (maybe more I had a 2 year old as my assistant). Now I’m going to make another one for L.
~Fabric~Given to me by tinyneedles in a swap we had
~Ribbon~ Also given to me by tinyneedles. She used it to tie up one of my packages and I’m the type that I keep (almost) everything because I know I can use it again later.
Tape Measure Cozy
I whipped up this little tape measure cozy today using this tutorial. It is really easy to make. Now I want to make more of them. Looks like I’m going to have to pick up more tape measures next time I’m out at the store.
