I did it!

After months of deciding, researching, looking, shopping around I finally purchased my serger!  Yesterday I had called one of Janome Authorized Dealers online (yes, did a search for dealers in my area and there were none) to talk to them about the Janome Magnolia 7034D.  After talking to the guy and explaining to him that I’ve never used a serger, budget plans, etc.  He said that he didn’t really want to sell me the Janome Magnolia 7034D and asked if I would be interested in buying a serger from him used.

It’s a Janome My Lock 734D and I guess it’s just like the 634D only they no longer make this model.  It has a color-coded threading system, upper knife release, self threading lower looper (the Magnolia wasn’t and you had to use tweezers to thread the thing), as well as able to switch over to a rolled hem without changing anything.  It’s basically the perfect machine for me and has everything I was looking for.  Now I just have to play the waiting game for it to show up on my doorstep.
