oh so sleepy

Back to the grind now.  Holidays are over, the celebrations are done, tree is  down and all evidence of Christmas has been officially packed away.  The girls and I spent our weekend having fun, playing, and making a mess (or two).

This is K. who all of a sudden decided to take up pottery making.  I don’t have an actual pottery wheel (why don’t I?  even a child’s pottery wheel would be nice to have around here……*note to self: buy pottery wheel) so we had to improvise with our wooden kitchen stool, a wooden bowl, and a paint brush.

Then of course no cold/freezing rainy day of ours would be complete without a little kitchen sink play.  Those two can play there for hours with bubbles, sink or float, straws, funnels, etc.

There was a little “contest” to see who could make the biggest pile of bubbles and I do believe that K. won.

Then sadly, like all good things that have to come to an end, K. is back in school today and my brother and his wife are returning from their trip which means that Nelli the Wonderpup has to come back home today.  And yes, even though my brothers’ wife has two sisters, I do believe that I am Nelli’s favorite Aunt.

I sure am going to miss that cute pup!

In blogging news, I’ve made some changes around here that I would like to see how they go.  Up above on the pages, I added a 2009 Project List which is a list I’ve compiled (mostly for myself) of things I would like to get completed this year.  A couple of other changes that I’ve made (over to the left) are I added a delicious bar which automatically adds links to the bookmarks I add to my account, which means I might get rid of the “To Make” list (not exactly sure if I really like this add-on yet or not, we’ll see).  Also, I added a feedburner link in case you would like to receive updates to the blog (not exactly sure how that all works, I don’t know to much about feeds and other computer junk).  There are also a few other changes I’m going to be making over the next couple of weeks (these things take time ya know).
