OK, so  I wasn’t going to post again till next week, but I just couldn’t sit on this all weekend long.  Last night after everyone went to bed, I stayed up and finished cutting fabric.  I personally like crafting at night, it’s quiet, and no interruptions so I can keep going till I get sleepy.  Anyways, moving on……

I managed to cut all the squares needed for my very first quilt!!!!!

30 – 11″x11″ vintage pillowcase/sheeting squares to be exact

I had to lay them all out because I had more of the orange and the pink yellow floral than other squares and was worried I’d get a weird section that was all one type of fabric.  Being that I’ve never made a quilt before, I wasn’t sure exactly what size to make the squares and how many across till I remembered a project in the S.E.W. book James had gotten me a few Christmas’ ago.

Ready and waiting on my sewing table

With the remaining scraps of fabric I cut 4″x4″ squares for another quilt that’ll soon get made as well.  Now that all the cutting is behind me, this’ll give me just the edge I need to head back to the sewing machine.
