oh that weather

Dear Ohio,

I’m not sure if you got the memo or not, and I’m guessing that you didn’t, but in case you haven’t heard……..it’s Springtime!!!  Now, I understand that you are known as the “swing state” but that only applies to elections, not weather.  Yes, I will credit you to having a nice day here or there, but it seems that those nice days are only during the week and the weekends are left with this wet, muddy, rainy, cold mess.

I also fully understand that come late August, I will be writing you another letter informing you of the humidity that reeks havoc on my hair.  But for now, I’d like a nice full week of 65 degree weather, sunshinin’, birds chirping, etc.  From a Mother’s perspective, it’s no fun playing a guessing game on how to dress my children for the day.  Nor is it fun packing winter coats/spring coats just to go to the grocery store because you like to be spontaneous and keep us on our toes.

(snow flurries that occuried late one night last week)

So in closing, it would be really nice if you could hold off on anymore bad weather till late October, early November.  And just so you know, I do believe you killed any chance of flowers I had of popping up this year with that early morning frost you think is so funny.

Sincerely,

Your fellow buckeye

Lovely letter.. I dare not write a letter like that in fear of retaliation. It flurried here a little today and we’ll probably have it until the 2nd wk of May, which is normal for here. However, I am moving a bit further south.. so we’ll see 🙂

Sigh, it;s been raining here too; in north Florida, temps going down into the low sixties.

Well ladies, since it’s suppose to be 70 degrees today, then rain mixed snow next week, I think that this letter was much needed. *hides under table in fear of retaliation*
