Two toe up socks at the same time (only one pictured). Flipping through the book Socks from the Toe Up by Wendy Knits. Came across the Serpentine Socks and immediately had to make them. Hopefully I’ll get them completed before the book is due back at the library.

Took a photo of me wearing my shawl (not a great photo because nobody was home and I was left with the ol’ self timer) from the last post because I was so sick that I looked too terrible to put myself out there in blogland.

(excuse the flash photography today, it has been pouring down rain all day so no sun)

New bag I made myself!!! I would be lying if I said this bag was a piece o’ cake to make. Ironically I had no trouble with the zipper, it was attaching the zipper panel to the bag itself that was a pain in my ass (and fingers so many pin pricks).

Only booboo I made was a slight misalignment with the zipper. But hey! I managed to put in a zipper without a zipper foot and it not come out wonky!!

Bag pattern is Weekend Away Travel Bag from the book Weekend Sewing. (So much I want to make from that book!!!) Fabric is all from my stash. The green floral (which I love) was a remant I picked up at a flea market one day, just sitting there, waiting for the perfect project to come along. And since I used cotton fabric instead of a recommended sturdier fabric I had to interface each piece to make it sturdier was well as more durable.
