another starting of the season

We live in a small town…….a very small town. If you do not believe me, a few folks on Facebook seemed to have gotten a kick out of my status update that stated I saw a sign at the market and it had said “If you lost your goat I have found it. Call and describe what it looks like and you can have it back” Honestly!! But what adds more to the hilarity of it is that I actually know whose goat it is.

Well anyway, so I live in a small town where we have the town looney, a lost goat, 5 horses traveling down the road, 1 stop light, a speed limit of 12mph in town and 55mph outside of town, and everybody knows who you are and where you live. But I love this town! And I especially love that at the beginning of May we have a town garage sale to kick off the garage sale season.

New desk, chair, and awesome typewriter!!

The typewriter needs a bit of cleaning and new ribbon. My girls think this thing is awesome and have been typing away on it.

Then the last thing that I picked up was the most funkiest and awesome lamp I have ever seen.

Isn’t she beautiful!! She does actually sit up straight but is leaning right now because I purchased the wrong lamp thingy to hold the shade. She is officially from the 60’s and got a new wiring kit (thanks to James) and I am in the process of cleaning her up and making her look as good as new. She is beautiful and funky and both the girls think I’m a little nuts but awesome for purchasing this lamp.

Oh the stories my children will tell in their adulthood of Mom coming home with a tiki lamp that looked like some sort of ancient voodoo spell had been put on it.
